libgnomevfs-WARNING-Debian-Sid
Written by edmond in Debian, Gnu-Linux, Tips & TricksTonight while tinkered a bit about Sid, I've a very strange thing, all of a sudden I do not know how and why, not
I managed to get root privileges. The error in the terminal was as follows:
(gedit: 4397): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Unable to create ~ /. gnome2 directory: No such file or directory
Could not create per-user gnome configuration directory `/ root/.gnome2 / ': No such file or directory
After a little flutter I was able to understand and solve the problem, which was given by a change (do not know how
place) in / etc / passwd, where root is in / home / root instead of in / root. At this point I can only give a:
Ctrl-Alt-F1
nano / etc / passwd
line dedicated to root and delete the entry / home. I hope it is useful to someone. Enjoi;)
