I often consult the man pages, and frankly I always found uncomfortable consult the terminal, especially when the documentation is very long. Another problem may be to not remember the exact term, and then you lose time further. Very often, we discover and learn something new, reading a document that takes you to another and another again, but this can not happen if you see the man in the terminal as we know it, because the type search "man apache" is limited only to those documents, and so do not come across something new. But this is an exceptional solution for me, and that is to use our browser. KDE users (which I do not use) have this option in konqueror, but for Gnome users should use the display in our browser. To achieve this, you just install:

apt-get install apache2 man2html

and then point our browser to:

http://localhost/cgi-bin/man/man2html

I keep stored in your bookmarks. On this page you will find several search options properly demarcated, and the documentation has never been so easy to groom.
