AMSN, loading etc. TkCximage failed. ETC. is a problem I had today and updated to 0.97.2.
For completeness, I must say that I have installed a 'other Debian Lenny on one of the many partitions of my 2
hard disk, and I also installed amsn from the repositories and everything worked. So upgrading to the latest
amsn version would not start giving me more that mistake. The solution is simple, has not pulled back the packages:
tcl8.4 tcl tk tk8.4
This has given me the error in full:
Loading TkCximage failed. This module is needed to run aMSN. Please compile aMSN first, instructions on how to compile are located in the INSTALL file

Hello, I want to upgrade to the latest version amsn 0.97.2 but I have the following doubts:
-I must uninstall the previous? use synaptic?
-aMSN from the site I see that there are two packages namely that Tcl / Tk 8.4 and this Tcl / Tk 8.5: What is the difference? Which one should I install?
Thank you, hello!

Hello Claudio, no need to uninstall from synaptic Asthe is the same script to update everything. With regard to the Tcl / Tk 8.4 or 8.5 you must install a clear identity of the libraries' Amsn you download. If you mean differences of functions in + or -, then there are differences. Hello;)

Hello, I can not understand what's wrong. Basically I downloaded both packages, I followed the guide and I put permits from property in order for it to be executable, so I clicked on the package and appeared to me a window installer, and then click Install and stands there doing nothing. The same thing happens with both packages. I also tried the command line: cd Desktop then sudo bash amsn-0.97.2-1.tcl84.x86.package and gives me error asking me to use the install command:
klaudiomi @ klaudiomi-laptop: ~ $ cd Desktop
klaudiomi @ klaudiomi-laptop: ~ / Desktop $ sudo bash amsn-0.97.2-1.tcl84.x86.package
FALL: Install the package with the command 'package install' instead.
klaudiomi @ klaudiomi-laptop: ~ / Desktop $
What is wrong?
