Sometimes some things are forgotten, and thank goodness there's the shell to remember. I, for example I could not remember the day of the week when I was born, and then I remembered cal.

cal -3

shows the current month along with the preceding and following

cal January 1971

I finally gave the month where I was born, so I could remember that the day of the week was a Friday Azz've aged, it was better if I used cal
